Overview

Horizon Forbidden West is an open-world action role-playing game by Guerrilla, the Amsterdam-based studio within PlayStation Studios. It continues the story of Aloy, a hunter in a far-future world where animal-like machines roam the remains of an older civilisation.

The Game

Guerrilla's landscapes are the star: deserts, coasts, snowfields and drowned cities rendered with extraordinary care. Beneath them sits a science-fiction mystery about how the old world ended.

Gameplay

Combat rewards preparation — scanning machines, targeting weak components and choosing the right ammunition. Climbing, gliding and swimming open up a large map full of settlements, ruins and side quests.
