About the studio
CCP Games was founded in Reykjavík in 1997. Its first and defining game, EVE Online, launched in 2003 and has been running ever since.
The studio has experimented with other projects in the EVE universe over the years, but the core game remains its centre of gravity — a long-running online world shaped largely by its players.
